My Favorite Memory of my Brother Danny - by Kaylene

My favorite memory of my brother Danny would have to be when he was a SBO officer in High School and I was only in Elementary school. One night, he came and asked me if I wanted to go shopping with him. I was super excited because I really looked up to him, and it made me feel amazing that he wanted to spend time with me. We went shoe shopping, and also looked for cages for our pet lizard. After shopping he took me to Wendys and we got some food and some frostys. He then took me to his school, pulled his car right up to the front doors, and took me inside to his SBO lounge room where we just hung out and ate our food. I felt so grown up and cool. It was a lot of fun and I'm so grateful to my brother for taking the time to make me feel so special. Its something I will never forget.

Another thing I love and miss about Danny is how he use to always bring me stuffed animals he would win out of machines. I ended up with 100's of stuffed animals because he was really good at winning them. I remember one Saturday morning when I woke up he came and asked me "So do you like your skunk?" I was confused and said "My skunk? What skunk?" He then said "The one I gave you last night..." I thought he was messing with me and so I said "You didn't give me anything last night. I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about." He laughed and said "I swear, I brought you a skunk, and then we had a really long conversation about it." When he said that, I knew he must have been joking. He told me to go look in my room and when I went, there it was, the cutest little stuffed animal skunk I had ever seen. I was super embarrassed that I had apparently slept talked to him for quite some time. I'm sad I missed that conversation. Thinking back I wish I would have spent more time with him, he was so knowledgeable and so full of love for everyone, had I known what I know now, I definitely would have made more time for him. I would have soaked up every minute, not taking a single one for granted.

Danny I just want you to know that I love you and miss you SOOOO much. I can't wait to see you again someday!

Love, Your Littlest Sister, Kaylene
